I am creating a project with a lot of animals! I need four legged creatures that can crawl and have a tail! HELP! Specifically a horse. ARGH! If you create this one character then I can adapt it for sevearl different animals.

sfecich - does that name mean something? Hard to type. Anyway, Muvizu doesn't do animals except our cartoon dog, and it walks upright. We've been asking for quadropeds for a while now, but no sign of them yet... You can import animals of course, but they'll be objects - you could move them about, but not animate them like a character. You may need to reconsider your project, or at least how you'll achieve it at any rate. Hope this helps.

I think this would be possible with the unreal engine, if you had 2 characters and some sort of flexible link between them...Duhh

Well maybe in a few hundred years...

I would like 4 legged animals but I dont know if that is a realistic request given some of the bugs that are present with um the 2 legged kind haha. I have toyed with the idea of making an object animal and using the object movement system to propell them (body 4 legs and head seperate) but I think it would make most anyone go bonkers trying to get 5 objects to move in unison lol but if anyone has A LOT of time on their hands maybe they will succeed

I saw your post when I got in and have just knocked this up for fun.
The camera shake needs a bit of tuning and its all very rough but you get the idea. Horse from sketchup. There is a tutorial on horses on here somewhere I think.

lol yes I was toying with the idea of making all the legs and head seperate from the body and animating the running/walking movement, but thought better of it. However if anyone really really wants an animal its possible to do this its just a lot of legs and well dont try it with a spider

If you do this with drum movement, it looks better.

The thing is I am not animator I am an educator so these options you are giving me I'm sure sound wonderful but I have no idea what you are talking about. i just want to make something cool for my students.

This thread got me curious, are there freelance people that are able to make stuff like characters and additional stuff for muvizu? For example hire someone to make a horse.

people can make objects for you if you post a request and they have time however the animation system in muvizu is a closed system so we cannot do any animation work for use in muvizu. There is a good public domain horse I was going to convert and put a link up on the forum but it would be an inanimate object because we can only import mesh. If you go through the gallery you will see what is available for use in muvizu for free. Myself I dont take paid anything that is custom I learned long ago that people making custom requests can get a bit unreasonable for the price they want to pay so I stopped doing any paid custom work well years and years ago. However if you post a request someone often comes along and makes it and tosses it up on the gallery. At the moment I already take a few requests but I can't take many more or I would never get me videos done .

Anyhow I would assume you want a horse/character that can actually move for the moment in muvizu this is not possible we can't rig meshes and create animations. When I remember to finish converting the horsey for muvizu use I will post it in the 3d forum as there are a few other objects I wanted to convert as part of an open sourced project that are available in other platforms already. They simply havent made their rounds here for instance the assets that were released by the creators of the game ryzome are on my todo list.

These items wont be in the gallery however as they are not "originals" but they are open sourced and its permissible to distribute the models and adapt and/or convert them.
(so many things so little time.. )
