I want to start by saying I think MUVIZU is a brilliant program! It reminds me a lot of another brilliant program: Band In a Box.

Both products provide predefined content so the user can manage projects more as a director than as a content creator. Yet, both products also contain ways for people who WANT to do more than generate predefined content to create totally original works.

In my opinion these two products are natural allies because they work so much the same. Both are rapid development environments... and in today's world of multimedia, which included both audio AND video... the ability to generate high quality output very quickly is worth its weight in gold.

PGMusic is a Canada based company that makes Band in a Box. They have a HUGE global presence... there's no telling how many customers they have worldwide. And they offer new content every year, some of it being bundled software that works well with and enhances the usefulness of Band in a Box.

Since you offer a free version of MUVIZU, you may want to contact PGMusic and see if they would bundle the free version with each release of their product. People who make videos need royalty free music which Band in a Box can provide... and more and more musicians are using video to enhance and market their songs. It would be a win-win scenario for both companies, opening up a whole new demographic to both.

I have already suggested this to PGMusic, and they seemed intrigued by the idea. I've been posting MUVIZU animations on their music forum, and a lot of people are asking about your software and commenting favorably. If this sounds like an idea you want to pursue, now is the time to contact them, while there are active videos and open discussions about MUVIZU

Interesting concept - I'll have to look into what they offer.

I am also trying to get them to open a forum on their website to showcase videos, jingles, animations, youtube presentations etc that use Band In a Box music to support the video.

A little cross pollination between the world of video producers and the world of audio producers seems like a no-brainer.

In fact, I can scarcely believe that more music software companies don't collaborate with video companies to nail down the multimedia market!

At present you probably get referrals from people in video forums who see MUVIZU clips and then follow up and buy your product (that's how *I* found out about it... a youtube animation group)

Once MUVIZU starts showing up in a sustained way on audio forums too, it will surely lead to more referrals. Especially since you have already done so much work to support music animations!

if you decide to contact them, most of my interaction with them about this idea has gone through an employee in marketing whose name is CALLIE. She is young and open-minded about new ideas... but of course, she isn't the final decision-maker. Good starting point, though...

I don't have her email address, but I'd guess the support page I provided in the last post could get you close enough. Its a pretty small company considering its huge market share.

here's a link to some videos that give you an overview of that product:

(I'm not affiliated with the company, except as an enthusiastic user. )
