One relatively easy way to bypass Muvizu wheels animation weakness is to use animated textures.
I made this little movie to show you the final result.
I took an old truck model from Warehouse 3D, I texturized it inside blender applying a UV map on truck whells and exported it as FBX file.
Inside Muvizu I imported it and changed wheels texture to an animated texture made using After Effects.

Posts: 18 		Excellent work Rod, If you do decide out of the goodness of your heart to make it available that would be like reinventing the wheel as far as Muvizu is concerned.
So much stuff available in the store so would appreciate what the name of texture is, if you decide to put it there.

Posts: 1738 		above and beyond the turning wheel, I like the parallax movement between the foreground and background scenery as the truck drives past. Did you make all of those layered scenes?

No I didn´t . I took them from a website. Anyway making them it's not so hard if you have some time to spend drawing.
Trying to share my last animated wheels trick I put animated textures and a car stylized by me on my Google drive account.

Posts: 298 		Yes thanks for the submissionCool,The properties of the 'Handlers' vehicle and other objects are most interesting.I haven't seen anything with such detail re material properties.Including normal maps, transparency and emission controls etc.Were all the texturing intricacies applied in Blender?

Yes, Blender 2.77 allows that easily. After selecting properties for each material you have to export ita as FBX only.

Posts: 1738 		Rod, I spent most of this evening watching the videos on your youtube channel... wow... they are masterfully done! The one about LIFE GOES ON was particularly touching because it portrays my own life very well... I married my high school girlfriend, had a VERY happy life with her for 38 years until she was diagnosed with cancer. Then I spent a year trying to keep her comfortable as she died. Heartbreaking.

The thought you put into your projects is very evident, and none of the detail is pointless... everything works together to create the story you want to portray. Your clever use of workarounds and special effects is also quite a testimony to your resourcefulness and masterful ability to craft a story.

I doubt I'll ever produce anything remotely as powerful and compelling as any of your videos, but I like having your work as an inspiration. Thanks for all the contributions you make to this forum. My hat is off to you.

Although some of my videos were so applauded I've to confess that I'm a perfect amateur. I never studied arts, animation or design in any school. My professional formation is opposite to art if we put things at this level. I'm an autodidact. That means, I always learn from you all.
If I was able to make this movies, you will be too.

I had a watch of Time Doesn't Stand Still, brilliantly animated with a nice message about life in general.

there's more to the art of story telling than just knowing how to use the software effectively. What sets your stories apart is the ability to turn a dispassionate observer into a passionate participant in your event. Software can be learned, but THAT is a gift!

Posts: 645 		Hmmm... this is really good, I'm sure its easier then animating a wheel using key frame, that's how I'm animating the wheels on my wagons in finger pistols are dangerous, oh well already did too much work on those to go back and change them, but hey that's really a great way of doing the job, next time I'll do some 2d sprites of animated wheels.
