Hi, I would like to suggest that you look at the option of 'keyframing' actions in the following way.

You could select Character Actions and have a Prepare mode that allows for Keyframing (assuming you buy the keyframe plugin) and then create keyframes and then click on the action you want. Then, you create another keyframe and select the next action or idle - and so on.

Or, maybe just make it so that you can drag an action down to the timeline and adjust its length there?

I'm suggesting this because the present method isn't very good for a fast work-flow. Presently I keep needing to click record and wait for the countdown each time I want to change/create an action and that uses a lot of time up waiting for countdown timers etc. But if you link the action to a keyframe that would make the whole thing much faster.

What do you think for a future update?
Thanks

I don't think we'll get keyframed actions as you described, but I do like the sound of drag and drop actions. Maybe suggest it to support, but don't expect it to be implemented any time soon: http://www.muvizu.com/Support (They have a very long to-do list )

Edit: It's impossible to implement changing the speed of the pre-set actions, but you can cut them short by directing another action mid-way or an idle.

For Create yes, but for change? To change when an event or keyframe happens you just drag it along the timeline, do you not? Or am I misunderstanding your post?

I do mean create in the main, but if I want to cut short an action I would usually select another one and so if that could be done with keyframes that would save me having to re-record actions. But if the action length is ok then it would just mean dragging it to where you want it.

The key to me is really speed of animation, using keyframes and linking actions to them would save a lot of time.

Being able to edit the actions directly, in any way, after they're recorded would be good at this point, yes. I see what you mean. Btw, I just use an Idle action as my cut-off since it's the shortest action, which is sort of a keyframe... But then if you have to move the action you have to move the cut-off as well, and you can't group select and drag. Yeah, there's is a mountain of suggestions in Muvizu HQ, this is on there somewhere
