I remember as a kid watching cartoons, all of the characters had a signature line they'd say in every episode...

SnagglePuss would say "Exit, Stage Left"
Mr Jinx would say "I hate Meeces to Pieces"
Tweety Bird would say "I Taught I Taw a Puddy Tat"
HuckleBerry Hound would whistle "Oh my Darlin Clementine"
Mojo Jojo would say "CURSES!"

etc etc etc

If you haven't already done so, you might want to think up a signature line for each of your characters... or alternatively, maybe the voice actors' own personal quirks will introduce a signature element for each character.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out

Hmm.. you know that's a good idea, never thought of that, even though I didn't do that in my comic strips, but it could be added.

Finger Pistols Are dangerous Casting Ok well I been doing a lot of shooting and editing for the open scene, and the story teller scene to where the story is told on how Jake got the powers to shoot bullets from his fingers, now I'm to the point to where Ill need some actors for my characters, below are some characters that I got worked out so far for the town scene, i'm still putting together the rest of the characters, but if anyone would like to play any of these character just leave a reply.

The story teller is a mystery character, but he knows every detail of the legendary story of The Marshall with no guns, through out the whole movie he will pop in from time to time, after all he is the one who is telling the story.
Character Taken

Jake is the man with the power to shoot bullets from his fingers, given to him from out of the blue, he learns to use his new found gift, but being clumsy is what makes his finer pistol dangerous, but with the help of his indian guide he takes on Red Dead Mcrow and his gang and tries to save the town.
Character Taken

Jamie Jane is Jake's would be girlfriend, she is a gunslinger who once use to be a well know Sheriff Deputy, but that was before Red Dead Mcrow killed the sheriff when she forgot to load his guns for him, now she just settles in Dare town living as a bouncer for the town saloon, but will fall in love with our hero.

Character taken

CHARCATER TAKEN

Chief Pow Wow is the leader of the Wacachoo Tribe, a looney version of the cherokee's, he's not very happy with the idea of Setting Sun giving Jake guidance on using his gift from the star God, but he see's that if their going to have friendship with the white man so they can come to the town saloon on friday nights, then He's all for it, so he decides to give Setting Sun wisdom, So I guess he's Setting Sun's Indian Chief Guied.

Character Taken

Dasie Duke is beautiful and brave, she is the current Marshal of dare town, she wants to settle down with her new man in California but can't do so until she fines a replacement, so she is always on the look out for the perfect person right for the job, she always kept the town safe until Red Dead Mcgrow over powered her and imprisoned her in the marshal jail house.

Riding Bull is the Tribes Hunter, and sitting Sun's Brother, he's always coming up with different kids of weird hunts so the village can have a variety of foods to choose from, even if it's a different kind of species that they never seen before, but when him and Sitting Sun are together he makes up for his sharp shooting with the bow and arrow when defending the Village.

I'd be totally disappointed if you didn't submit something! In fact, I'll be disappointed if this doesn't draw all the moguls out of hiding! It's mogul-quality stuff we all want to see...

I waived that part, and updated the rules

I wasn't talking about overlapping the contests... more like a "look-ahead" so we'd know what was coming. Or not. No big deal either way. This is going to be fun!

Didn't Clayster waive that music rule?

yes I waived that music rule, you can use any material from any free royalty sites, and original material, I have changed the rules.

How about royalty free assets like background music, sounds etc?

as a musician with a recording studio, this rule gives me an unfair advantage. Not everybody is in the position to create the music that goes in their video. I can see limiting music videos to original music... but a monster video needs scary music, and the best source for that is royalty free sites.

The Moguls have traditionally used public domain music to great effect, and I'm afraid that if they aren't allowed to use royalty free assets, some of the best contributors might just bow out. We can't have that!

I hereby formally request that royalty free assets be allowed... but the use of anything that may be under a copyright that somebody else owns (pop music, movie or TV franchises etc) should be disallowed for legal reasons.

Having said all that, it's your contest and you get to make the final rules.

I see your point, I do want to be fair, I'm mostly looking out for any copyright violations to keep everyone out trouble, so I should change the rules

awesome looking sets there Clayster! They are very desirable as prizes!
I like the rules you've defined for your contest, and the logo too!

It just so happens that I already have a couple of funny music videos (featuring original songs) in the pipeline, so I might actually be able to submit something. My average prep time is about a week for every minute of video, and I have other activities cutting into the time I can allocate to Muvizu for most of the summer... so the work I've already done will probably make up the difference.

I'm looking forward to seeing everybody's submissions! I hope we get a pretty good participation

I can't wait to see what you have to submit, your music is really awsome!

Nicely done layout there, but one quibble - 3 minute minimum? If you want to encourage people, especially noobs, that's rather a big requirement. 2 minutes seems more reasonable, I would say, but it's your contest I'm just giving feedback

No your right, I been thinking about that to, I changed it to 2 to 3 minutes

Well we all love to laugh, and laughter is the best medicine for the sole, so lets all join in for a competition to see how much laughter we all can whip up, the rules are simple and should be easier for everyone, so here how it goes.
1 .All videos must be at least 2 to 3 minutes long .
2. only use muvizu for the animation, but you can use any editing software you choose.
3. The theme is comedy, but you can use any concept you wish to use like sci fi, Action, Western, drama, music videos, you name it, but make sure the comedy stands out, after all this is what it's all about .
4. All videos can contain original material, and material from free royalty sites, no restrictions.
5. Videos must be submitted no later then midnight July 13th 2016, this should be enough time for everyone, and for submitting the videos, just send me a link to your video and me and my selected crew will judge each submission, no videos will be posted until a winner is declared.

The prizes will be three different muvizu sets made by me, these set will also be submitted in the store up for sell, but for the lucky winners it will be their winnings, each set will be placed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and the winners will also get a zip file of all of the attachment models for the charactes, and the models of the props.

1st place prize : A cartoon style western town that fits the muvizu format very well, this is also the same set i'm using in finger pistols are dangerous

2nd Place prize: is a desert set in the style of the road runner cartoon, but its far from being too much like it, its also another set that I'm using finger Pistol are dangerous.

3rd place prize: is a fantasy set that I have been working, and still adding to it,but by the time this competition is over it should be done.

that's for the prizes, and i hope who ever wins them will put them to good use, so lets start creating those videos and have fun!

I refuse to believe that DrWho, if your not creative, then I'm the worst animator here, everyone can create, you just got to give yourself the time, and believe you can do it to, ok then do this, using the comedy concept, you decide what kind of theme you would like to do for that concept, remember there or no restrictions that I'm going to have on your ideas, it will be open to you and everyone els, just use the given concept, you can combine the other concept like sci fi, drama. action, or whatever as long as you make the main concept stand out, so when you set that theme for yourself then you use that for your pointer.

yep, Clayster! The pressure is on! YOU and only you get to decide on the rules of your challenge! Others may have a different take when its their turn... but this is YOUR Turn, so ... your wish is our command!

But don't take too long to decide or this whole thread will fade into oblivion and everybody will move on to other things.

Just declare the rules in a new thread, and let us know when to start and end, and we be JAMMIN'!!

;-)

(I kinda like the general theme of COMEDY. People are so different, no declared theme will work for everybody.. that's why I like the idea of each Mogul making his own rules. Spreading it out like that increases the likelihood of drawing more participants)

Ok Patt, I'll work on the rules now..lol

An idea for a contest also i been working on the sets that I'm putting in the store, and that I'm going using for the competition prizes, one set is going to be the western town that I'm building for the new finger pistols are dangerous, which is one of my best work I ever done in muvizu, and i think is for better, not putting down the ones that comes with muvizu, they are good to, and the other set that I'm entering for the prizes is a Fantasy set that will have three characters, props, weapons, shields, and environment objects, the third set I'm trying to make a collection of some sky textures which will be a zip file, so it will be at least a week before I have them done.
2016/6/13 18:06:05
An idea for a contest Hey everyone, sorry I been quiet, been feeling a little under the weather, I been thinking that maybe this should be an open competition, but still keep the main concept as a comedy, I think that this should be a little bit of a break from having a theme to go by an not worrying about what we want everyone to make, it seems that every competition that's been thrown out has a theme restriction, that's most of the reason why I never enter one, yea it's ok to use a theme every once in a while, but some times a concept is all you really need, concepts like comedy, drama, actions, thrillers, sci fi,and so on, I think this would give everyone more freedom to be able to use their imagination on their videos and make their own theme, but still keep in the assigned concept, and then throw in the rules, then again some of you may feel different about it so this is why I'm throwing this in here, to find out what you think, so if you think the theme idea is better then I'll stick with theme, I just want to get your take of the concept idea.
