Muvizu chat

    • Cool to see the community is still hanging around, albeit thinning. I had high hopes for Meshmellow but it appears they MAY have bought Muvizu on fire sale to warehouse the competition. At this point its just as valid a possibility as any.

    • I modeled it in hexagon, because its easier to use, then imported to blender, because it makes collisions, then export as fbx. It works great fro textures but i ALWAYS get the collision around the entire object,, even if the walls are separate?

      • Hi,
Did you name the collision correct? If you have an object called Wall01, the collision box should be named UCX_Wall01. Then select all and export.

      • Yes Sir, Basically, I made a cube, deleted one face, reoriented the normals inward and named it room. I then copied it, added depth to it and placed it over the original and named it UCX_room. In muvizu, the open face is an invisible barrier.

      • Hi,
For the collision object you should insert just a small cube in the middle of the room that rests on the floor.

      • Thanks a bunch, I will try that!

      • IT WORKED!! WOW, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I think where things went wrong is in blender I was assigning a collision modifier to the UCX mesh. I thought that was required but I see it was boogering things up..at least in this case.

      • Glad to hear you did it! I think it went wrong because your collision shape was as big as your room model. A collision mesh can not have a missing plane to form a hole. Just by inserting a small cube, the collision only happens there.

    • HELP!! Im about to pull out what little hair I have left! I cannot get a room that I modeled to import correctly. I put a collision on the floor, but the whole room has a collision and I cant get objects into it.

      • The collision mesh must be named ucx_modelname (where modelname is replaced by the name of the model)
If Muvizu can't find a collision mesh, it will make its own which fills the entire object.
