If you want to avoid distortion in your set, use these aspect ratios when creating custom textures:

Backdrops

Widescreen = 16:9
Superwide = 20:9
Curved = 2:1

Skydome

W = 2048
H = 512
Res = 72

I do want to avoid distortion, so thankyou Emily. I notice no one else thanked you - ungrateful sods!

(of course, having said that, it has taken me several months to find this post...lazy sod!) Sleepy

@ziggy - Your gratitude is appreciated, glad I could help out. 1 in 337 isn't bad

@kkffoo - This is already a sticky! You can tell a topic is a sticky if it has a pin symbol.

Thanks Emily, one of the most useful pieces of info I've found on here.

Thank you very much Emily, you just solved my problem

This morning, when making new textures for wallpaper, I was wondering what the correct size would be since it was obvious that the square format I made was stretching.

Off to correct that now.
