you could use the small picture frame (or backdrop or anything that can take a texture), for the texture for the mirror you can use one of the cameras pointed outwards from the picture frame and it should mirror what you want. i think.... i havnt actually tried it but it sounds like it should work

Yes a mirror in 3D is an interesting trick (if you want to try this) it depends I guess on the way your using your mirror

to have a reflection here is "the trick" you create screen in the mirror in this case since this is a "new thing" for you probably the best way is to size down their background to fit. Place it inside the frame of the mirror whatever you choose

Then have your character do its act in front of the mirror and record that video with a camera facing the character from behind that mirror. Then use the background to play the video back and then do the action again (for real) with the cameras where you like them so that the actions in the mirror seem to be reflected from the glass.

You can make the mirror frame from anything as long as you can downsize and set the background piece inside it.

I dont know if fazz's method works I am old and stuck in my ways and this is what I learned years back :/

There is a dressing room set included in Muvizu that has a mirror. It's under the "entertainment" section. I just copy the mirror and the camera it uses for reflections and paste it into whatever set I need it in.

Adjust the "FOV" of the camera to get the look you want. Works really well for me.

Didn't know about the mirror in the dressing room stuff - thanks for that Mysto, and Fazz is right about that method. I've used it myself, although the one thing I'd add is that you also have to set the camera properties to 'Flip Horizontal' (I think that's what it's called under the camera effects) to mirror the image correctly.

Wow you are all so helpful and fast too! Thanks so much.

I thought I had posted this point earlier but clearly forgot to press send; when I tried to add he picture frame it kept
slipping to the floor or to the sink, as I tried to 'hang'
above the bathroom sink. It wouldn't stay in position on the wall.

Anyhow, I will have a go with your suggestions - thank you

To 'hang' something, all you have to do is right click on the object, tick the 'float in air' box, then drag it to where you want it. It should stay there, giving a hanging effect.

Hang on, Lulu's right, there is no entertainment section is objects - at least, not in this version of Muvizu... Mysto, you do some work for the Zubox folks, yeah? I know they have stuff we don't, so I'm guessing this is one of them?

Open a new Muvizu file, go to entertainment on the sets (or 'new scene') menu, then select 'dressing room'. This set has a mirror in it!

So it does, and it's using Fazz's suggested method. Never spotted it before - D'oh!

What He Said

MrDrWho13 is correct, open the "new scene" window and select the dressing room. I should have been a bit more specific. Sorry.

I've been using Muvizu for so long that I just "click through" things without really thinking about what I actually did!
