It would be nice to have .... PS: Here's a video we made last Christmas covering Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody. That's us on the instruments and "singing" along.

It would be nice to have .... It's some way off, but we're already looking into this. Several of us at Muvizu HQ are musicians and it's something we'd love to get working for making music videos. It's a tricky thing though, so I'm afraid I can't give you a timescale. Watch this space!

Widescreen You can also choose a widescreen resolution on the "make video" window when you come to create your AVI.

Keyboard Shortcuts Another undocumented shortcut you might find handy is F11 which takes a screenshot and saves it in the "MuvizuGame\Screenshots" folder of wherever Muvizu was installed (so probably something like "C:\Program Files\Muvizu\MuvizuGame\Screenshots").

Thanks again - you guys are ultra keen ... monitoring the forum on a Sunday! Never heard of R&R?

You obviously haven't seen the hidden message in Muvizu that says "Send help! We're chained up in the basement of Muvizu HQ!"

On a more serious note, we've debated endlessly how best to handle the dialogue audio. Some people seem to like the single audio file for dialogue, but others would like to be able to use a single audio file per character. We chose the single-file method because it felt simpler for people to get something up and working quickly, and simplicity is probably our primary focus. It's obviously going to be confusing if a user expects it to work the other way though.

It's something that we keep looking at, so it may well change in the future.

Sporty stuff Hi glen,

There are a handful of football related objects that should be in the next release. Is there something specific that you'd like to see?

Muvizu 3D crashes when importing an MP3 file Hi WoodySRW,

Sorry you're experiencing problems with Muvizu. There are no restrictions that need to be considered, as long as you have enough free memory (which shouldn't be a problem as your mp3 isn't huge). We've seen a couple of issues with obscure versions of the mp3 format, but they're extremely rare.

I can't see what the problem is with your mp3 file as it works fine for me. Could you tell me how you were trying to import it (as a sound effect, as dialogue, or as background audio) and describe the crash? What buttons did you click, and was there a message that appeared, that sort of thing. Do other mp3 files work, or is it only this one that crashes?

Hopefully we can get this fixed for you.

Features requests lionelb8 wrote:
22. In the absence of an audio wave form, it would be helpful to be able to add markers to the green tape measure thingo. For some this feature would probably more useful as a step prior to adding dialogue, but I want it on the timeline. This could be implemented in two ways:

Hi lionelb8,

You'll be pleased to hear that we're currently testing a system of 'cue points' on the timeline for the next release that should help you line up blocks on the timeline.

Intuitivity rating - high Thanks for the kind words, Kaynine. It's very much appreciated.

We've tried very hard to make Muviu as easy to use as possible, so it's great to hear feedback like that. We're only human though (well, most of us anyway), and we know that we don't always get it right, especially when we first put a new feature in. So if you have any suggestions on how it can be improved, please let us know.

PS: Loving your videos so far, keep 'em coming!

Locking items? muddybunny wrote:
It might be that it's possible to do this already, I just haven't figured it out yet. Is it possible to lock an item in place? The reason I ask is that I keep moving walls by mistake. :p

Thanks.

That's an excellent idea, muddybunny. Unfortunately it's too late to make it into our next release, but I'll see what can be done to get it into the one after.

Tips and Tricks - Any requests?! Unkka wrote:
This is more of a character tweek request: skirts and being able to keep f.ex. a cup in hand while moving. Long hair option would also be nice. This is such a great program! Thanks tons!

Hi, Unkka. You'll be pleased to hear that skirts will be available soon(ish), along with a few more hairstyles.

Putting things into the character's hands is a bit harder, but it's something we'd like to add sooner or later.
