Download Mandy Mandy just downloaded OK for me using Foxfire browser /Ubuntu. If you have other browsers installed, try one or more. On other sites I've had problems downloading, and switching to a different browser or different computer helped.

Things I'd like to see in Muvizu.
"you can't remove the head?"

I wish! If the head could be made invisible while the legs were still visible, we could use the legs-only to create quadrapeds!
But, the answer to your question is: "no, the head's visibility can't be turned off"

Finger Pistols Are dangerous Casting I remember as a kid watching cartoons, all of the characters had a signature line they'd say in every episode...

SnagglePuss would say "Exit, Stage Left"
Mr Jinx would say "I hate Meeces to Pieces"
Tweety Bird would say "I Taught I Taw a Puddy Tat"
HuckleBerry Hound would whistle "Oh my Darlin Clementine"
Mojo Jojo would say "CURSES!"

etc etc etc

If you haven't already done so, you might want to think up a signature line for each of your characters... or alternatively, maybe the voice actors' own personal quirks will introduce a signature element for each character.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out

Finger Pistols Are dangerous Casting you didn't say if Red Dead McGrow was available... if so, I volunteer to voice his character

How do I transition over to a new computer? Congratulations on the new computer! May I ask what you got? Ram and processor?

Is there a way to add text to characters in Muvizu if you don't want to bother with making a thought bubble yourself, online you'll find a ton of them already made

same goes for speech bubbles:

The Firesign Theatre can also be confusion and over-the-heads for most people. (Not to mention, dated.) Even though Part One here worked well with minimal editing, Part Two will be a doozy. Probably will wrap it all up with Part Two.

I would say that the jokes are not always obvious at first listen, but the writing is top-notch, and you're likely to get multiple hits on your video because people pick up on new things each time they watch.

Back in the day, my friends liked to get high and listen to firesign theater. It was just obscure enough to sound profound. ;-)

As far as sounding dated... that's part of the appeal. That's why you do it in black & white, right?

Nick Danger is back! that was awesome!

And I really like the idea of taking Firesign theater skits and using them as the script for an animation! They are so well done and clever that you're guaranteed to hit a home run with the end product!

I'm glad Nick Danger is back! Thanks, BigWally!

Coming Soon 2016 I'm kind of the same way, Speedking... I have a lot of projects "in process", but I open them only when there's an idea to explore. After I see the results, the project gets saved and closed for who knows how long. Some of them require more skill than I have yet... some require more time than I have available at the moment... some require more enthusiasm than I can muster for that idea... some are waiting on a eureka moment that tells me how to proceed...

Maybe someday they'll all get finished...

But I like the examples you've posted... it looks like you have some previous experience with 3d modelling, which will be very helpful in this environment! I look forward to seeing more from you! I hope you'll participate in the current wave of contests!

Great idea!

Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with

hey, I see this was your first post... welcome to the forum, Allclass!
I hope you participate in the contest... what have you got to lose? No entry fee, and a chance to win something!! And you'll learn some stuff in the process of creating your entry, so it's a win-win-win!

Multiple prizes, and I bet at least one of them goes to a newbie to keep new users pumped!

But whether you participate actively or not, I hope you at least participate as an audience member!

Well that's one way to say it, I suppose! laugh

No need for hanging! I've got a perfectly good chair for that...

LOL!
And this is why I enjoy hanging out with creative people!

in order for that statement to be true, we'd need a very narrow definition of the term "artistic capabilities"!!

I think everyone on the forum would agree that you've supplied more than enough evidence to prove that you are indeed overflowing with artistic capabilities.

Stated differently: if it were illegal to have artistic talent, and you were in a court of law being tried on such charge... I'm afraid there's more than enough evidence to hang you.

So let's all hope that it's never illegal to be creative, because I'd hate to lose all my friends in one smack of the judge's gavel.

wow! Thanks UrbanLamb! This is a very useful bit of information!!

am I correct in thinking that I'd need to split these into separate files for use as Muvizu sky and muvizu ground?

Looks awesome man ! Ive never seen detail like that on Muvizu

You see a lot of complaining on the forum about what Muvizu CAN'T do... but Guys like Ziggy and UKBerty and Clayster do an amazing job of expanding our understanding of just what it CAN do! In the hands of the right person, there is almost no scene that can't be presented in one way or another...

and, as Ziggy has shown here, the quality and detail can be as good as the user is capable of making it!

Thanks to UrbanLamb for being a pioneer in the realm of using ultra realistic models Muvizu!

I love to see a bunch of smart and creative people in a forum learning from the successes of others!

Hi everyone !
Here´s my first animation test for this short animated film I´m planning to do with Muvizu. (Continuing what I´ve said on another thread here in the forum); Just the basics for now. Later it will be more polished and all that. Consider this like some sort of a trailer. (snip! )

Based on what I've seen on your personal web site, I am already very impressed... so I'm looking forward to seeing how you apply all that talent to the world of Muvizu! Your trailer looks awesome already!

You may already know (if you've been reading other threads) that the forum is having a series of contests... maybe by the time you have this current project finished it will fit the genre of an upcoming contest

But whether you join in any contests or not, I'm very glad you are on the forum, and I wish you nothing but success in all of your projects!

I wasn't talking about overlapping the contests... more like a "look-ahead" so we'd know what was coming. Or not. No big deal either way. This is going to be fun!

I'm not sure if I can come up with anything for this first one, especially with the high minimum time and forbidden external music , but I'll see if I can muster something up.

Didn't Clayster waive that music rule?

Competition? since it looks like we're embarking on a series of contests, each one hosted by a different mogul.. I guess we should talk about whether or not to talk about upcoming contests in advance, or wait until the current contest ends before saying anything at all about the next one.

Speaking only for myself.. I admit to being painfully slow at this... to the point that a 4 week time limit might knock me out of the running.

If upcoming contests were declared in advance and everybody had a heads-up so they could start organizing ideas and creating assets, I think the end result might be better videos. At least, having more time would benefit me.

What does everyone else think? We have several weeks to form a consensus of opinion on the matter...

regarding the requirement of using all original stuff:
does that mean you can't use any of the sets from the store unless you're the one who submitted it?

How about royalty free assets like background music, sounds etc?

as a musician with a recording studio, this rule gives me an unfair advantage. Not everybody is in the position to create the music that goes in their video. I can see limiting music videos to original music... but a monster video needs scary music, and the best source for that is royalty free sites.

The Moguls have traditionally used public domain music to great effect, and I'm afraid that if they aren't allowed to use royalty free assets, some of the best contributors might just bow out. We can't have that!

I hereby formally request that royalty free assets be allowed... but the use of anything that may be under a copyright that somebody else owns (pop music, movie or TV franchises etc) should be disallowed for legal reasons.

Having said all that, it's your contest and you get to make the final rules.
