Download Mirrors Hello everyone,

I've updated the mirrors list for those of you that might have problems downloading Muvizu from our website.

I'm waiting for a couple of uploads to finish and then will add another mirror website.

As always please not not download Muvizu from other websites unless you know it's 100% safe.

Cheers,
Marco

EDIT: Final mirror link added.

Feedback Thread - v0.19b release (January 2012). jonbez wrote:
A few things I found.

Seems import texture reconverts to a lowres version.I tryed adding a texture to a background wall. The original texture size was 1024x512 and it converted it to 512x256 by the looks of it. Is way to pixelated to use.

I tryed loading my set that was made in the previous version before v0.19b. It worked but it moved at a majorly slow frame rate. I delete all lights and 90% of statics just leaving the barebones of the room and it remain the same slow frame rate. To fix I had to copy the statics and then create a new set and paste in and rearange. This fixed the frame issue and it became fast again but now I couldn't press the record button to record any events.

Hello Jon,

After performing a few tests on this issue, I've found a workaround.
When I import a texture indeed becomes low-res. Saving the set, loading an empty set and then re-loading the original set, makes the texture to revert back to it's original resolution.
I'm wondering if this works for you too.

Can you please send us your set and the texture to bugs@muvizu.com so we can run some tests?
Thanks in advance.

Marco

Move two characters at once? Hi Steven,

You have to record the animation for both characters.

Character actions are only applied to the character you have selected. After recording the action for the first character, select the other one and repeat the process.

I hope this helps.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

Website feedback Hi Simon,

Indeed the Firefox browser needs the Control + F5 Jedi mind trick

I'm currently using the Firefox 10 and the preview button works fine. Are you using an older version? If so, I would recommend updating your browser.

Please keep us posted.

Cheers,
Marco

blank screen while make video Hi DoubleM,

It seems that might be related to the codec you are using, or your graphics card drivers need to be updated.

Can you tell us, which graphics card you have and which codec were you using to make the video?

question about muvizu spec Have you tried running an anti-virus and a defrag? I'm assuming you have your graphics card drivers updated.

Soon enough, we will be releasing a new version and it would be great if you could try it and check for improvements.

Despite noticing by typo I hope you understand what I was trying to say. The engine upgrade has an impact on performance, but it shouldn't be such an impact that would make it very hard to run Muvizu.
You should check your pc, because at the moment I'm using a pc that has lower specs than your and I have no problem on running Muvizu with other several applications opened.

Marco

question about muvizu spec Hi alakyr,

Muvizu has been going through some changes.

We recently upgraded the engine and the UI. This obviously have an impact on performance on older/low spec machines.

Although we work everyday on optimising our software, there is so much we can do.

I just wanted to let you know what changed lately.
The engine upgrade is like the oxygen. You can't see it, but you know it's there.

More information is available on the download page. If you still have any questions please let us know.

Cheers,
Marco
