Spooky Halloween Challenge #2! I have just uploaded my entry but Youtube says they are doing some maintenance. I will check back later to see if it's turned up either here or there. Must be the ghosts.

Woz, silly question here, since I haven't entered into anything yet...How do you enter a vid?

The best way is to upload it through Muvizu or the this website to Youtube and then post the video in this thread. Hope this helps.

Here is a sneak preview of my entry Midnight...

Spooky Halloween Challenge #2! Nice one Ziggy. I won't comment further for fear of spoiling it for others.

Have made a poster for my nearly completed entry....

Coming soon.... It'll have to be.

We managed to reproduce this issue a few times. If you need a work around for this, loading a set recorded on previous versions will keep the logo even if new sets won't.
So you can load an old set, clear it of actors and start anew

Update: Alas poor Yorick, It does not work for me, only fazz68's camera fix works on my version. Loaded a 20b set and no change.

Spooky Halloween #1 challenge! Wow!!! I've actually nearly won something. Big Grin

I am truly honoured that I would be considered in such elevated company. I would at this point like to thank everyone who helped me along the way but the truth is I did it all by myself.

Thee new look is excellent, particularly the "Who is Muvizu for?" page.

I never see the competition notifications until... It's worth checking the forum as often as you can. Going through the recent topics can help as well as the competitions thread.

muvizu logo out Thank you all for your assistance, as usual with Muvizu there are several ways to skin a cat and I am now going to try them all.

Glad to hear it's fixed for the new version, I didn't think it would take long

muvizu logo out Thanks a lot, it worked. Only after directing camera cuts though. It is a pain to do but at least we have a temporary work around.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version or update. It's obviously a bug of some sort. Though at the moment we have Muvizu with an on/off switch for the logo. If that doesn't get it fixed quickly I don't know what will.
Feedback Requested

Thanks again for your quick help. I love this forum. Applause

muvizu logo out The logo I have to add back in does not look as good as the original. Any chance of sending me a link to a good transparent 1280x720 logo that I can overlay please as mine is till missing despite two reinstalls?

Or is it better to render one out of Muvizu as a green screen and use that?

Using Sony Vegas to stitch and render.

I would be very grateful as I have a Halloween video to render this week.

Hope you can fix this problem soon.
Running latest downloadable full version.

Learning blender Thanks for the pointers Jamie, will try and get into it again when I get some time to spare. It's nice to have some pointers on what is necessary and what's not. Saves a lot of time and fiddling.

You could also use a chessboard as a temporary texture for the floor.

I made this a while back, it helps a lot......

Sketchup to Muvizu Thanks again, you have been of tremendous help. Applause

I now know that I am better off sticking with a few occasional custom requests to experts rather than persevering in a fruitless attempt to get Skup to work given my limited 3D modelling skills and the fact that 3ds disagrees with my laptop.

I'll go back to Gimping some textures/backdrops and the odd transparent bit in Sketchup which will produce pretty good transparency imports on boxes and cylinders with the right settings.

As for Blender, like many I expect, I tried then persevered but ultimately failed to come to terms with it.

Sketchup to Muvizu Thanks for those and your quick response Your Dyllyness.

The problem I have is that I can create a simple model say house with floor, no roof, holes for windows and doors. I then wish to make that MZ compatible, i.e. get rid of the weird shading effects by making it quad face as I have been advised.

I have installed the tools but have no idea where or how to use them. Is there a simple, one button click to do the job? I am not after complex models really EDIT: I will leave that to experts like yourself, most stuff I can cobble together in MZ. Just a few simple building shells and maybe some drinking glasses.

I have successfully made a pane of glass, ( rectangle so you can't go wrong lol ), and a glass tube but as soon as I move on to making holes in models the problems arise.

Sketchup to Muvizu Hello everybody, I am desperately in need of some help.

I can use Sketchup enough to throw a few shapes and can import them into Muvizu. What I really need is a few step programme on how to use the Quad Face tools plug in that is recommended by such an illustrious modeller as His Highness The Dylly. I have looked on the Interweb and Youextrudedcircle but unfortunately what little there is around is either OTT or incomprehensible.

I have a brain cell or two to spare according to my Gynaecologist and really all that is required is a 1,2,3 on how to quad face a model, starting from the model already being present in Skup and ending just before export.

If someone could provide this for me I would forever be in their debt, however, I cannot promise not to consider moral bankruptcy at a later date.

Yours unwillingly, WozToons.
