Question, can I actually make a muvizu with the annotations embedded from the start? or, Do i have to upload to youtube via muvizu and then add annotations. Any answers will be well received as I am currently doing a follow up Muvizu to an all ready posted youtube clip; It was posted after i started Muvizuing, but before i had worked out how to first upload my content to Muvizu Site. Thanks for any help that is coming, but most of all, Keep on Dancin, Dan.

lol I think the point of them being on by default is for those that dont even know they exist. Once the setting is saved it stays that way until your cookies get deleted. Anyhow i dont care really but as you can see a great many people dont even know they exist and so can't make that choice hence the confusion over dreeko's subscription duck which was made to take advantage of that feature when its turned on

Movies don't have annotations. Sound, visuals, that's it. No distractions. Annotations off, please.

You guys know that the annotation / link system from youtube only allows you to link to other youtube videos, subscription pages, channels and playlists?

It's not as bad as the points UrbanLamb has highlighted with the twitter feed, for example.

Though, you can already put any link in the description of a video, and that would show up on Muvizu without anyone knowing (as it can also be updated any time in the future as well). Thats what the Report Abuse link is for.

I think the general point for discussion here is not where the links in annotations point to but rather should they be on by default? Personally I'd say no. They can be annoying and, looking at my own youtube channel (you can see this info from the Video Manager > Analytics > Annotations option) I get about 1.3% click through on annotations and around 6% close rate for annotations. The other 92.7% they are just ignored. So I don't think they really do all that much.

Hey urbanlamb! You're totally right - we've been trying to figure out a way to block these spammers without compromising the whole twitter stream. Sadly, the spamming is getting worse - especially at the weekends when we're not as over the twitter feed as during the week. We may have come up with a work around but sadly, it means some changes to the rules. Hopefully this will stem the tide of spammers getting on our feed.

It really annoys and frustrates me - we block and report as spam as often as they come up but - that's the internet for you sometimes. And sometimes this is why we can't have nice things. At least on the weekends.

Dreeko, I can see the hotspot on the duck both in the forum above and in the gallery. There's a speech-bubble type button at the bottom of the player to turn it on and off. It's maybe turned off by default though here, I'd need to check
