err not sure to be honest what is in the images are they white? or do they have your scene? i am thinking possibly you have more then one camera out and are creating the scene but one of the cameras is pointed at empty set (which is white by default) which would get a blank preview. The codec pack works for your system, not just one player - when you play something in any player, it asks windows to recognise the file type it's playing (there are various sub-types of AVI, WMV, MOV, etc) and windows says yes or no to it.

As for importing a video into Muvizu, I always use Divx AVIs - you should download a video converter if you don't have one already (this one's good, and free) :

Importing video seems to be a bit hit and miss, with people preferring different file types - I think if it works, it works, make a note and move on One thing I've noticed - always scale down your original video resolution - try 640 x 480 to start with, and with as short a clip as possible, or else everything in Muvizu grinds to a halt. .mov is for use in quicktime and was basically invented by apple to compete its not very universal because most of the software is developed for a pc workhorse.

Anyhow it seems you can in fact see avi files on your pc now? you just can't import avi files on your pc for use inside muvizu? if this is the problem now its the way the avi file is packaged and you need a converter to repackage the avi. yes i have this one for things that my windows player wont see. its probably on your end your using a pc now I would suggest moving away from quicktime as this is a apples thing. You have windows media player this will view avi's etc. So if this is your issue that you can't see your avi video files in quicktime this is due to the fact that quicktime likes .mov files although some of the newer quicktimes sometimes will show avi files its not guaranteed.

Look for windows media player and watch your videos in that if the videos are larger then 2.0 gig actually 1.99gig you wont be able to view them unless you use a pro video editor. If you cant see the avi files in windows media player then something is up with your codecs, but I remember you just purchased a new pc if it runs on windows 8 you should be able to see the avi files (not in quicktime though)

Do it with a small video, (few seconds). If you get a numbered list of .tga frames you can view them in Quicktime and they if they look ok it will probably be a codec issue. If rendering still fails then it may be an issue with Muvizu on your machine and the staff will have to help.

Once installed, and you've restarted your machine, you should have more options in Muvizu for the output, and you should be able to play any video format (although I'd avoid QuickTime if poss, and use standard windows media player - QT is fussy and a bit crap).
