Hi everyone, I’m planning my first-ever trip to Ladakh and I need some genuine suggestions from travelers who have already been there. I want to cover major places like Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Khardung La, and local monasteries, but I’m confused about the best time to visit. Some people suggest May and June for pleasant weather, while others say July to September is better as most roads remain open and safe for sightseeing.
Since I’m based in Delhi, I’m also looking at different ladakh tour packages from delhi to understand which route, season, and itinerary would be most suitable for a first-timer. I’m okay with a flight to Leh or even a road trip via Manali or Srinagar, but I want to make sure the season I pick gives me clear skies and comfortable travel conditions.
I usually travel once a year, and last time I explored the Northeast with a Guwahati Shillong Tour Package, which was amazing for greenery and waterfalls. This time I want a completely different experience with mountains, lakes, and open landscapes, which is why Ladakh is on my mind. I just want to avoid extreme cold or road closures due to snow.
So, for those who have already been to Ladakh:
Which is the best month for a first Ladakh trip in terms of weather and road safety?
Is May–June better or July–September?
Any must-know tips before booking Ladakh packages or planning the journey?
If you booked any ladakh tour packages from delhi, did it cover Nubra, Pangong, and Leh comfortably in 5–7 days?
Your suggestions will really help me plan better. Thanks in advance!
