Danimal I realize how much Dan "Danimal" was admired by folks here at Muvizu and felt that I just had to let everyone know the sad news.

Just a few days before I found out about Dan's passing he and I were planning the next episode of The Garage Band Blues. We were bouncing ideas off of each other and were both excited to get things rolling on it. But he had just gotten a brand new guitar and told me how much he loved playing it. So much so that it was getting in the way of the things that he "should" be doing. He really loved playing the guitar.

A great animator, a great musician and just an all around great person. One of the most creative, nicest and funniest people I've ever met. Your contributions and talents to this community will be missed very much. Until next time my friend.

Danimal I would like to let everyone know that Dan Heerdt aka "Danimal" has passed away from a heart attack. He and I worked on the series "The Garage Band Blues" for over 2 years and I have to say working with Dan was awesome. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

CONSTRAIN!!! I've been messing around with the keyframe function and have had the same issues. A constrain function would be absolutely wonderful. It sure would make "keyframing life" a whole lot easier!

Why can't I use my free Content Packs? Clam wrote:
And lest we forget, Muvizu used to cost a lot more than it does now. At least, I think I remember that's the way it was. Whatever the case, it's a very inexpensive product in my humble opinion.

I purchased Muvizu when it cost $150. Now you can get it for $30. Am I upset? Not in the least! I think it's worth every penny they charge. I've been using Muvizu pretty much since it first came out and I and I'm glad to see all of the cool new things the Muvizu team have added to the software through the years.

I haven't posted any animations for quite awhile but I have been very busy working on and coming up with new ideas. Keep up the good work Team Muvizu!!!

Importing Audio files I'm working on another music video and so far I have not come across Ziggy's problem. I'm using an mp3 file for the music track. Everything is going fine for me so far.

Help with recommended hardware 4 MZu? In my personal experience, the better the CPU and GPU (mainly the GPU) you have the better Muvizu will run.

20/08/15 reelase feedback While I appreciate all of the new "bells and whistles" that's been incorporated into Muvizu, I have to say that so far I've not had any major problems. My approach to using Muvizu is pretty simple. I learn to use things on a "need to know" basis, meaning that I only learn the things I need to know to get the current project I'm working on done. I like to keep things as simple as possible.

It's nice to know that we have more options available with Muvizu and maybe someday they will all work correctly but for the time being it seems to be doing everything that I need it to do. I'm looking forward to seeing Muvizu develop and grow. Even with it's current flaws it's still a great program. IMHO.

New Guy Welcome to the group! I've been using Muvizu almost since day one and I still have questions. The Muvizu community is a great bunch of folks and will help out whenever they can!

4/8/15 Release Bugs I'll second the F14 key thing. Getting coffee myself takes time away from animating!

Help moving a ball into the air imyourda wrote:
Thanks for the advice!

I ended up making a character invisible, attaching the ball as a hat, used the "blast from the right" animation to get it to move through the air.

That's a very creative way of doing things. Well done!

Real animation - A world of pain! ziggy72 wrote:
In about 1982 or 3, I learned that I could position pixels by putting in their coordinates (on my ZX Spectrum) to create an image - then wipe the page, and do it again, and you could do it fast enough to make animations. I tried to make an animation to match up with Shine On You Crazy Diamond by playing and rewinding a tape and trying to get the timing right... Yeah, I prefer Muvizu Big Grin I remember when the internet was in black & white y'know...

Around that same time I had a Timex Sinclair 1000 and did those same kind of things. They called it "plot and Un-plot". I spent a lot of time "plotting and un-plotting" trying to make things move around. Was a lot of fun back in the day.

Real animation - A world of pain! When I started animating (Many years ago) it was all done "frame by frame" and in 2d. Also, when I started animating it was all done by hand. The "traditional way". No computers or other fancy machines to help. I remember spending many many hours and even days working on an animation that was only 15 or 20 seconds long. The only thing I had going for me was that I had the patience to actually stick with it and see it through to the end result.

It was a VERY painstaking process!

I've used many of the high end animation programs available today, Maya, 3d studio max, Softimage, Lightwave etc. and each one has a very steep learning curve in order to produce a quality animation.

Then I found Muvizu. Muvizu, for what you can do with it, is truly an amazing piece of software. With just a little creativity and patience one can create quality animations in just a few hours rather than days or months. Muvizu isn't perfect, but what it does it does very well.

I personally like the style of Muvizu and really enjoy using it and I have some new animations I've been working on that I'll be posting soon.
