    • Good morning, Muvizu!

I have purchased Muvizu+ and several content packs. Some I can manually download. Others say 'requires a newer version...' I have reactivated my license, but I cannot install them from Tools menu or site. Thanks!

      • Did you install the Muvizu recently from here: http://www.muvizu.com/Get-Muvizu (It's been the same for a few months, so recently is since February)
Try making a post on the forum to test if the spam filter period has ended on your account.

      • I will take the forum you linked to. I have the Feb version downloaded one week ago from Muzivu. "An update is available but it requires a newer version of Muvizu" is the exact message.
'Install' button ghosted under Toos|Content packs
        Thanks!

      • Using Win 64 binaries.
Posted in Chat, since I am under a self-imposed deadline. Should have made first anim before commitment. Oh, well, shame on me!

      • Try downloading the Full install (the 500mb one) as this contains all the (free) addons anyway.

      • I originally did download the 500mb one 3 days ago. I am speaking about the paid purchases I made today, although there were free content packs that said the same thing about the version.

    • I opted for the >500MB vs. the ~300MB download upon purchase. What content do I have, so I don't download repeats from the store?
Just found Muvizu today. I hope this is the right place to ask this? Thx
Can I make characters and actions in Blender3D?

      • The full download includes all the free addons, as far as I know (on the store page you can see which ones you have installed). You can only customise the existing characters, you cannot import non static models.

      • Hi and welcome! I hope you will join in the community. There are several here who use Blender. I just downloaded it today and am trying to learn how to use it.

      • Thanks!
I have been involved with Blender from the very beginning ~2001-2.
I just found Muvizu yesterday, and it is exactly what I have been looking for.
The community seems to be one of its best aspects too.
Can you modify character shapes or faces?

      • I can definitely answer Blender questions, although even I need to get up to speed on the newer add-ons. The interface and tooling has changed over the past 5 or more years, but the core is as I remember it. Wings3D is still a great modeling tool.

      • If you go to tools-->content packs then you can download the additional packs. (Although you may need the play+ licence for some, and may need to buy others individually). Unfortunately you can't import characters or actions.

      • You should be fine with the standard packs that come with play+, but I recommend getting the keyframe pack too: http://www.muvizu.com/Pack/18/
To customise characters, you can import attachments in fbx form.

      • Should this discussion be on the forums?
I just downloaded the free Costumes pack, but should that have been in the big 500MB download? I chose it over the smaller 300MB download.
I have limited bandwidth here, and don't want to dupe my downloads.

      • The 500MB download contains most of the extra add-ons, but you should be able to install them individually from the content pack manager inside the application anyway.
You might want to start a forum thread if you can.

      • Oh sorry I'd got your story the wrong way round in my head. You have the 500MB version. Just check in that content pack menu in Muvizu to see what you have, and if you are missing something just download it there.
