On Saturday I uploaded an animation. It has still not appeared on Muvizu even though I wrote to Muvizu asking about it. I got no reply.
IF the reason is that somebody found it offensive, then surely I could be told this?
I LOVE Muvizu, and the wonderful people who work there, and I am spending most of my time creating animations with it.
Have I been Censored?

That's it in the gallery now chuckles - our system just hadn't picked it up yet.
Unless you had initially made the video private, in which case we wouldn't know about it, then it seems the feed we get back from YouTube is running much slower than usual.

I'll keep an eye on it, but anyway it certainly wasn't censored

The video that you posted wasn't listed on our database for some reason. It was listed as available but hadn't been pushed through to the list of videos that we review every day so we can put them onto the website.

There are three things we can do with a video when it comes through to us - we can allow total access to it (which is what we do with the majority of videos), restrict it (if there are rude words or adult themes we'll do this so you're shown a warning screen before you reach the video) or reject it. We reject the vast minority of videos that get uploaded to the website or through the application since they either need to have very objectionable content or be unrelated to Muvizu.

I think you meant to write

We don't reject...etc

I think that makes more sense

If he'd said "vast majority" instead of "vast minority" you'd be correct ziggy

As part of the small majority of pedants, I'd like not to agree with what you didn't say... Now my brain hurts

Just to chime in here, I agree with most of what was not agreed to because of what wasn't said, wait, I mean I don't agree with what wasn't agreed with about, um, I mean I think I agree with...

Got any more coffee Luscan?

Just to recap...animations about one one legged ants will be censored unless they are posted before coffee, unless Ziggy has a headache and/or we get mysto a coffee at the same time as Luscan, dependent upon the rate we feed YouTube or if we want the animation to be private in which case we have to put objectionable content behind a warning screen with the majority of the minority of all content unrelated to Muvizu, or get IanS to look into it?

Does a lot of what you allow on this site have to do with copyright? I uploaded a video about a week or so ago. I was using the song "Rainbow Connection" (Sung by Kermit). I'm thinking it's a copyright thing? If so, how do we go about getting that copyright or permission to allow us to post?

Thanks!

Hi Steven,

If you get a copyright warning on Youtube, it's most likely they won't allow it to be shared with external websites.
So it won't be on our gallery I'm afraid.

Cheers,
Marco
