So, did some searching around forums. Did not see much about it.

Any plans in the future of being able to hold and point guns?
I am in the Army, and some of my stories will be military related.
Being able to hold a gun, and point it would be awesome.
A rifle and pistol.
The pointing could be part of one of the character actions.

As far as performance.
I have the stock HD3000 intel graphics on the laptop.
My resource monitor shows like 40% use constantly while running Muvizu with
a small scene. Lowest resolution, which did not seem to change anything.
My laptop is tweaked for max performance.
Using some registry and program techniques.
Also have all cores set to be Unparked(even though Muvizu only uses one I read)

I have a better computer at home, with a better graphics card, so hardware
acceleration will be on there, so this probably wont be an issue.

Maybe some sort of way to really lower quality while producing.
That can be switched on and off with an F6 or something.

Example: In Premiere and some other editing software, you can change the
percentage of quality in the video windows. This speeds up RAM previews.

For some reason, F2 and F3 do not seem to be turning lights on and off.
Read about that in a post here.
I am on the 64bit version of Muvizu in Windows 7.

Version: MZASS-v0.21b - build: 2012.07.16.01R (64-bit) DX9

Yes, there is talk about holding guns in the future, but I wouldn't make any plans for using them yet...

freaking awesome, thanks for the reply..
for now most of my army type videos will be garrison(on post) related,
with events that don't require the use of weapons.

But once holding guns and pointing them happens, it opens up
for all kinds of stories.

most content will be humor.

Muvizu,

What's the status of holding props or guns or flowers or several other objects?

Thanks.

Perhaps you should send Jamie a message asking your question, I'm sure he'll be happy to answer.

Hey guys,

This is something that is still on the top of the table, but we haven't made a decision on this yet.

Rest assured that when we do, you will be the first to know

Cheers,
Marco

I would love to have the ability to hold more props but usually that comes with a need for more animation or some type of limited puppeteering to make it actually useful hehe hopefully you guys can come up with something cool

Hmmmmm, thanks I suppose...It's on the top of the table, but you "haven't made a decision on this yet." No offense, but that doesn't sound like it's on the top of the table in that case.

Muvizu keeps putting out releases and giving priority to other things (some interesting things, but still they other things). One of your employees joked in response to a similar post I made YEARS AGO now and said props would finally be integrated in 2014. Well, I hope that's not a joke that turns into the truth.....Or worse, a prediction that jumps the gun (ie. props actually appear in 2016).

You even created musical instruments, a type of prop...but no actual props. Previously, people suggested...why not just create everyday props in a similar way to the musical instruments and the response was that Muvizu doesn't want to create temporary or workaround fixes. Well, what was going on with Musical Instruments then? Was that an okay way to have instruments? Then why wouldn't it be an okay way to have props? Does the answer circle back to not wanting a workaround or a temporary fix? You can't have it both ways. It's either okay to have integrated musical instruments the way you did or not.

Thanks.

Hey dwino,

When I said it's on the top of the table, I meant it's being discussed.
Even yesterday we had a wee meeting and we talked about it.
Just please note that on top of the table doesn't mean on top of the "to do" list.

The other employee that mentioned it, didn't lie. We have been looking at this feature for quite some time.

We will give you guys more info about this feature as soon as a decision is made.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,
Marco

I wouldn't leave guns lying on top of the tables at work. Sellotaped underneath perhaps, but on top...no.

I have mine sitting right next to the hand grenade on my desk. People who pass by seem to be exceptionally pleasant towards me.

Thanks Marco_D,

By the way I didn't say he lied...I said he was joking that handling props would be available in 2014. And that's why I said it won't be so funny when his joke turns out to be the truth.

Cheers.

Muvizu is FREE. We should be grateful and patient.
There is more than one way to skin a cat although I would not advise using a toothpick.

Believe me it's okay to provide constructive criticism, in some cases light a little fire, and ultimate provide FREE market feedback and testing for Muvizu.

It's one way for them to know what they could do, and also for them to keep tabs on what other Machinima/animation tools out there already do.

*cough* well if they added hand props and a decent way to animate with them and maybe did a bit of work on the cameras I would be contacting them about commercial works most likely *hides again*

Totally agree with Dwino here

Although Muvizu is free that doesn't mean we shouldn't make an effort to improve it even more!
That's our plan anyway.

Please keep the suggestions, bug reports and videos coming

Cheers,
Marco

In which case I will forward my 365 page critique and evaluation together with my 788 page suggestion document to the relevant authorities by the weekend. To whom should it be sent?

In lieu of the receipt of the aforementioned documents please see below a brief preview.

Headphones, umbrellas, hand held props, the biplane without its propellor, open and closed face crash helmets, objects to match character movement (i.e. set box in ob move to mirror char move), group movement, cheese on toast and automatic spin cycle.

I look forward to all of these being implemented by last Tuesday teatime. If there is any delay I will send the boys round to sing to you.
