Dear Muvizu users
I m new to muvizu.I have couple of questions regarding muvizu.let me tell you in point.
1.what is collision in 3d model as per muvizu is concerned?
2.Can i do cloth effect in Muvizu?
3.When i import an externel 3d model which is downloaded from muvizu users, i can import it to my scene. But next time if i see the same model it will not be their in objects.so that i required to import it again. So what makes the external models to remain in object gallery permanently?
4.can i make a scene of city full of buildings, trees, vehicles etc,. and create a view like hilicofter shoot mode..?if yes how?
5.can i make a scene of 1 person standing inside some shop and another from outside & purchasing somethiing?if yes how?
6.How do i get 3d models like various buildings, trees etc into the muvizu?

Looks i have asked for lots of questions..still answers are much appriciated..!

Thanks

Hello Chandu

I think you've asked so many questions that you've scared people away. Let me try and help you where I can. Have a look at the video tutorials for an in-depth guide:

1. Sorry, I don't understand this one

2. Some of our new characters have objects that behave like realistic cloth. It's limited to our new characters because the technology didn't exist when we made the old ones. So, have a look at the Heroes and Villains pack for proper skirts capes and belts. That pack is here: http://www.muvizu.com/Pack/1/Heroes-and-Villains

3. Good question. I will email one of our in-house experts. Jamie and Marco are pretty good with external geometry. Look out for their reply soon.

4. Easy. Start with either the pre-made city set file or add the objects individually. These tutorials will help: http://www.muvizu.com/HowTo/#&&c=100000010

5. Like a McDonald's drive through? Your best bet is to use a Backdrop object to represent the window. Place a partially transparent window texture on the object and you should have the effect you want. Here's how: http://www.muvizu.com/Video/12480/Backdrops-Making-a-backdrop-with-transparent-

6. Yuor best bet is to use Sketchup and look at these tutorials: http://www.muvizu.com/Video/21578/Sketchup-collision-made-easy-in-Muvizu-3D-ani

Hope that helps

Barry

lol lemme see I dont see a lot of questions on the forum I am not a "mogul" but can probably give info on these extras.

1) collision in muvizu you can create no collision objects or ad collision it depends upon the software your using in blender its the standard method of adding it where you add basic geometric shapes around the object and if your familiar with unreal engines conventions you just have to identify them with the UCX_ there are some tutorials on it one is made for sketchup and then there is a "generic" blender tutorial that works well

http://muvizu.com/Video/21578/Sketchup-collision-made-easy-in-Muvizu-3D-ani

here is a thread with a tutorial on how to import objects with collision from blender to muvizu

http://muvizu.com/Forum/topic2241-learning-blender.aspx

3) if you save the object as a 'favourite' it will be available in the next set

If you are familiar with unreal, then it is the same technically. I'd recommend you use collision as little as possible and only add it where an object needs to sit on the ground or a character really needs to stand on an object.

Yes, but, no, but... We have capes for the hero and villains characters. BarryS posted the link above. These instances are limited to capes on those 3 characters, though creative thought can put them to good use.

As urbanlamb said you can right click on an object and go to the "Favourites" tab and save a copy there for later use. You can also download the model file from the website and keep it on your computer ready to import. Granted that's not entirely keeping the object there just to use but its a step closer if you don't like the Favourites system.

Although I'm not sure if this is what you mean by object gallery.

Yes. Go to "Direct Cameras" and you can drive the camera around while it points down at a city scene.

The transparent texture on a backdrop is a good way to go, but if you are interested in modelling you can also model the wall you want with the service hole in it ready to use.

We have a gallery here, and available in the application under "Online" on the "Create objects" tab. You can also use Sketchup's 3D Warehouse to access thousands of objects ready to export and import. There are also a lot of online galleries with lots of models available to use - though some of them do charge for use.

Hope this helps, I look forward to seeing your movies!

Is this the issue with video codecs or some other thing..

My system info:

This happens, I'm afraid. What you need to do is check the Options menu under File in Muvizu to check what Direct X is being used.

There is a bug in Muvizu that has stopped Anti-aliasing working for some people. I think the best thing to do is wait for the next version and this problem should be fixed.
