I purchased Muvizu Play+ but now I'm using another laptop and I had to download Muvizu all over again. It tells me I got to copy my license to the clipboard and how in the world do I do this? I even create a video to see if I would be able to paste my key in without any problem but I'm having no luck. So unless I can do this I won't be able to click the box to remove the water mark and the water mark will be on my video. Please help. thanks.

I downloaded Muvizu yesterday. Just a few minutes ago I figured out there seems to be no option of where to paste your license key.
Notice page: https://www.muvizu.com/How-to-upgrade
And under About it says license manager
Well this is absent from the Muvizu I just downloaded.
This is so upsetting to me; I'm afraid I paid $30 just to be able to make a few Muvizu movies without the watermark.
This is very disappointing to me.
Can anybody help me? thanks

I've had the same troubles trying to upgrade my previous Play to Play+
My solution:
1. download the Full 500MB from muvizu.com
2. uninstall all previous Muvizu instances from PC (via uninstall.exe in the folder, as the Windows Add/Remove Program utility did not noticed there are more instances on my computer...)
3. run fresh install from the downloaded file
4. open menu File / Upgrade to Play+
5. enter the already purchased code. The online activation takes near 1 minute, so be patient
Have fun!

For lisasc, since there is no option in the question mark menu it means you have the latest version. You only need to follow these from step 4.

Also, MB4M, You don't need to uninstall the old versions because sometimes newer versions have bugs so it's a good idea to keep one of the previous version. (That's what a lot of us do anyway)
However, it's nice to see new users helping out

Hope this helps,
MDW13

Edit: Also thanks to lisasc for pointing out the error on this page: https://www.muvizu.com/How-to-upgrade
I've send in a support ticket so this should be changed in the next week or so.

I really don't see how this would make any difference. I already messed around and had to download it twice because I'd messed up with downloading one of the 3 programs that had to be downloaded in addition to the main Muvizu program. It takes along time just to download it. Maybe I should download an older version instead. And also I had tried clicking the open file and upgrade and all that does is take you to the Muvizu upgrade page on the site Muvizu.com. So that doesn't allow you to copy and paste the code. I hate to think it but I really think that Muvizu doesn't want you to be able to copy/paste your license key into the new version since they have new stuff added to that version. And you know what I really don't think that Muvizu is happy that I brought this problem up. I feel like I wasted $30 and I'm a poor person who didn't have it to waste. Sorry Muvizu but I just don't appreciate the problem and you not including the same option to copy/paste the license code that you had previously. If I was so old, sick and tired I could word this allot better. So much for being able to create movies for my Youtube in hopes of 1 day becoming an internet success. It just isn't going to happen. Muvizu is just afraid of people stealing and cheating which I can see that but I paid my $30 and I should of been able to copy/paste my license key that takes off the watermark and gives me the rights to monetize my movie (video) content on Youtube. Well, thanks Muvizu you've really helped me allot and not I'm unable to do that. Unless I can download the older version and do it via that way.

If you have a Muvizu licence key, it will still be valid.

Click the upgrade option in the file menu

Then a window with two options will open. Copy your licence key, then click the enter code button and your Muvizu will be upgraded.

If you get the E2 error, run Muvizu as an administrator and follow these steps again. (If you get a different error search the wiki: http://www.muvizu.com/Wiki )

I hope this helps,

Sorry hon I already tried what you suggested and that did not allow me to copy and paste my code although I'd tried to like 3 or 4 times. The problem is that their newer download version does not offer the same paste your license code that the previous version offered. Why would it matter if I go back and try to download the full version again? Why would that change the way they developed it? It seemed like there was at least 2, maybe 3 options in the version before the latest one to copy and paste the code. These options are just not present in the most recent version of Muvizu Play. So will Muvizu be putting back the old options into it or what? It's really not fair that I purchased it for about $30 with them saying I'd have the option to paste the code if I need to download it again. Every so often I switch laptops if my son needs to redo a laptop erase everything (all programs). So what are you saying when you say keep a copy of the old program - that's the problem - it was not possible for me to do that so I downloaded the newest version they have on the muvizu.com site. And whomever makes their software program changed about 2 or 3 things and just left out the options. When you click most of the upgrade to Muvizu Play Plus it takes you to this web page to upgrade and one of them like you said offers to copy/paste the key but sorry that is fixed so it doesn't work - I know, I tried it enough times. I've only been using computers and the internet for many, many years.

With all due respect MbeforeM (MB4M) I just wasted my time and did what you instructed to do in your above steps. And as I had thought before, it made absolutely no difference. There is no option anywhere to copy/paste my license code. And when I click the upgrade to Play+ it just takes me to the web page where Muvizu wants you to pay to upgrade. Well I already paid for Muvizu Play+. So thanks allot Muvizu. If you ask me I think you just like playing with people. That's really big of you.

have you actually spoken to muvizu about this?

http://muvizu.com/Support

it might be a bit late to get an answer today because its almost clocking off time here in Britain. at the end of the day all and any problems that cant be resolved by help on the forum should be taken up with muvizu themselves. they are a pretty friendly bunch and can usually sort out your problems pretty quickly.

yeah we are just the peanut gallery if your code is not working you need to talk to the company at the support portal that fazz just posted. They have been upgrading/changing things for a few weeks so its possible things are not working correctly for some.

As they say in the coding world ...

"99 bugs on the wall 99 bugs.... take one down and pass it around 125 bugs on the wall"...

Lisasc, I just had to reinstall Muvizu and activate it. It all went as normal, but only because I used the old version (v1.3) and when it asked if I wanted to upgrade to the new version I said no (and I will continue to say no until it gets fixed). The new version is, as you've already found, kinda broke. It offers no tangible advantages over 1.3, so use that instead and you should be fine. Having said that, I don't know where you'd download it from now. I know there's a link someone posted recently to that version but I don't remember where it is - anybody?

Also, since no one actually answered your very first question, I'd add that you just select the code from the email you got, right click and Copy (that puts it into Windows clipboard). When you go into the licence manager bit the code should automatically be pasted into the box for you. You may already know all this, but I'm just trying to be thorough

For anyone having the issue this answer doesn't explain the mistake people are making. I was making two mistakes. In the original email with the license. The number is so long it doesn't appear all within the border of the email and there is o when you highlight it to copy it you have to make sure it all getting highlighted. Second mistake was not mine. Copy and Paste means exactly that. You usually right click on copy, got o where you want to paste and right click on Paste. Well in the software to the right when you click on FILE, and the you you click on UPGRADE TO MUVIZU PLAY+ it takes you to the window with the two choices. BUY or ENTER CODE at this point anyone that knows how to copy and paste would right click and then select paste. That won't get your key recognized. You just left click ENTER CODE then another window opens up ad you can see your license, and then you activate it. I have been talking to tech support for two days on this problem. Copy and Paste means just that Copy and Paste. there in no left click in Copy and Paste $^^*^(%$$*(^&&) &^&*&
