I'm posting this as a way to get a bird's eye view of Muvizu's demographic. I suspect its customer base is pretty large and spread out all over the world. So, tell us where you live! Don't get so specific that stalkers can track you down... but it would be interesting to see peoples' locations within a general region.

It would also be interesting to see what kind of people gravitate toward Muvizu... so if you have other hobbies, let us know what you love to do with your spare time!

I'm located in the state of North Carolina in the USA. Besides playing with Muvizu I also use other animation software, I enjoy 3d modelling and I also play guitar and have a small home studio for recording music.

How about you? ;-)

I live in Oporto region in the north of Portugal. Muvizu is one of my most recent loves. Besides that I love to do so many things that I'm trying to extend day time without success. Drawing, painting, video effects and edition, 3d modelling, programming, comics making, and many others (when i have time). Essencially I enjoy to explore and prove to myself that I can do it too.

I live at the Top of the South Island of New Zealand.

My other main hobbies apart from digital movie-making are making real stuff, learning clawhammer banjo and Te Reo (Maori).

By the way Rodrisilva, my house in New Zealand is exactly opposite a field in Northern Portugal not far from the Spanish border

I am in the Mojave Desert about an hour from skiing at the city of Big Bear, and 30 minutes from Wrightwood if you get there by 7am. I am about 90 miles from Los Angeles and Route 66 is nearby. I live close to a small lake, really it is almost a pond to anyone else in the world or country.

I am on the edge of state owned land that can not be built on, so that is nice and I have coyotes, bobcats, and migrating birds year round either in my backyard or outside of the fence. So far I have had gopher snakes, king snakes, and scorpions in my back yard, ick. I have had scorpions, lizards, and frogs in my house. You have to keep your eyes open if you live here. I usually check my shoes before I put my feet in them.

We even have White Pelicans show up in our little nearby lake. They are beautiful.

Thanks for starting this topic Pat!

I would enjoy visiting Portugal. I want to see the map near the ocean where all the explorers set sail to find China, and opened up the European race to discover new worlds. That is one of my favorite parts of history.

Visiting New Zealand and maybe not leaving would be great, too.

I'm really enjoying these "WHERE I AM" updates... we need to set up one of those world maps with pins to represent the location of forum members. Anybody know how to do that?

Hi, I'm from a small town in the polder in the Netherlands. I have far too many interests, like graphic designing, programming, filming, audio video editing / effects, 3D animating, 3D modeling, 3D printing, arduino's and electronics. Even older hobbies like drawing, painting and playing guitar, keyboards, drums, percussion, which I did in many bands when I was younger, I can't find the time and energy for anymore. Sometimes the days are too short indeed, but sleeping is also something I like.

Muvizu is the first program I managed to create 3D animated stories with. It's really a wonderful program, but at the same time it's also frustrating because of its limitations in movement and actions, which is demotivating me.

Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Just finished the first 32 seconds of a film titled "The last picture" about a guy spending all his time with his most beloved cameras (like me).

It was thought to be a film with live actors - that is what I do most - but my wife said it would be too sad to see the main character (me) die before he got his "last picture" - so I'm making it with cartoonized "real" backgrounds and Muvizu characters.

All characters are just green-screened in Muvizu and added to the backgrounds, sounds etc. in Sony Vegas.
The backgrounds are cartoonized using Boris Continuum Cartooner as a plug-in to Vegas.

Hi Muvizuers, from the Midlands, UK.

Other hobbies?

I love theatre, especially musical. I write plays. I'm using Muvizu to 'stage' my work.

I also quite like going to the gym, but like chocolate even more.

Thank you Ritsmer! I am looking forward to seeing what you did with the green screen techniques. Thank you for including subtitles, too.

I am in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (home of 100 waterfalls!). I'm a writer, photographer and videographer who also writes a bit of music. I've been (trying) to learn animation for the last 6-7 years or so with Toonboom and Anime studio, I've basically figured it out and realized it's way too much work, I discovered Muvizu and haven't looked back.

wow, sounds like we're kindred spirits... I could have said all the same stuff! I even worked for Westinghouse Power Generation (which had a shop in Hamilton for years)

Greetings from Germany
Well know for beer and bretzels ;-)

I'm highly interested in creating 3D and 2D animations for education. I'm going to create a series of short films on how to learn to read for kids. I'm impressed with movizu's animation style and the overall look & feel.
I really love how users interact here in the forum, help each other and offer content for free and how Muvizu enables this spirit. The most important part is that you can see great examples of funny movies made with Movizu. You rarely see things well done in iClone or Animator. In addition they (Reall****) have a very commercial way of pushing content and updates to users. Things rarely work as advertised...
So I rather work with Muvizu, its known limitations and its usage philosophy which lets me concentrate on the story. Love Muvizu and its concept and user interactions in the forum. Thank you.
Cheers Rene
