Posts: 66 		Doing my first band movie. I make a stage from one of the abstract cuboid props and cover it with a ground plane with a suitable wooden texture. I stand the band on the stage with all their instruments and equipment, and I do some animation - everything fine no prob - its getting late ,I save the scene and go to bed.
Next day I open the scene - drum kit and amps are in place but all the band members have sunk through the stage up to their waists. I pull them up, stand them back in place and and carry on animating. Next day there they are again wading through the stage. Anyone know whats happening here?

Posts: 272 		yeah ive heard of this bug before but it was quite a while back...I thought it had been fixed as i havnt heard of it for ages...

is this still happening to anybody else?

Yip, happened to me with episode 2 of Staundoone. The scene near the end where Tony comes home to his wife. The wife would appear to have sunk through the floor every time I opened the scene. It wasn't a major hassle at the time. Probably should have highlighted it on the forum.

Posts: 176 		This is something we know about and that we're working on - more news as it happens. There's a good work around for it at the moment.

You can either drag the character back onto the top of the object that they should be standing on or if there's a lot of characters that are meant to be on the one object, right click the object they're meant to be standing on and turn off 'Can be stood on' and then turn it back on again.

If you open your scene and the characters have sank through multiple set props there is an quick way to get them back to their original positions. Just go to make movie and press play and they all hop back into place.

Posts: 3 		mmmmm - the solutions haven't worked with me - have used an invisible ground plane to put eyes (blobs as per dreeko & emily) in some hyenas, but they keep falling on the floor after re-opening the scene...

If you have them floating and save the set then the solution of pressing play should work. It did for me with the character in my most recent tutorial
