b) used SVegas to create transparent video (uncompressed)
c) loaded video as texture on backdrop
d) moved backdrop as required

Allows for objects/characters to move together

When Dreeko used his invisible platform to get a character on a horse (Gallop test), he opened the scope of muvizu for all sorts of weird and wonderful things (genies up in the sky, people walking over tall buildings, etc). I believe your demonstration of the transparent video with the careless driver will have a similar effect!

Thanks Dreeko but it's the Muvizu team who deserve your praise.

In Vegas

a) Apply Green Screen effect
b) Edit effect - Adjust mask using threshold sliders. Easiest done by temporarily selecting "Show mask only". Aim to get rid of the greys and get pure B and W. Add a tiny bit of blur (if desired) to soften edge of mask
c) Make movie> save it to hard drive>next
d) Format>Video for windows (avi)
Template>Default template (uncompressed)

I've got PE4 but haven't tried it yet but I see no reason why it shouldn't work as long as an uncompressed format is used. I'll try and experiment on Monday evening

But as you know I'm always looking for a free alternative.
This time it was easy since I already made a short comparison of different chromakeyers:
"


The simple solution is called "CineGobsKeyer": Link

The handling is very easy and there are several tutorials in the Help section of the software.
You'll find some free explosion examples here: Link
After chromakeying you can either export "RGB+Alpha" as "PNG (Single File)" and get numbered PNG-files or even better directly the transparent video without the need of VirtualDub.
As I noticed today you should change the frame rate (under Input) to 25 (or even more ?) !
Otherwise the video will flicker !
Finally, it's also possible to select only certain frames or change the size of the video before export (under Output).

I can't solve the problem !!!

Just to be sure - have you done this first (from Dave's original instructions)
First, edit Program Files\Muvizu\MuvizuGame\Config\DefaultGame.ini (or Program Files (x86)\Muvizu\MuvizuGame\Config\DefaultGame.ini for the 32-bit version on a 64-bit OS). Set bStripVideoAlpha to false. Restart Muvizu. If Windows will not let you edit the file (with an "access denied" message because it is in Program Files) then just copy it to your Desktop, edit it there and then copy it back on top of the original file.

Posts: 142 		I've also checked nearly all available (also losless) codecs and found no other solution.

CineGobs is a 'keyer but not the key !
It also simply uses the codecs as any other video editor.
But maybe there's indeed another codec that works ?

The only option (I know) for compressed videos would be an additional opacity channel (like in iClone)...

Posts: 661 		Looking around the internet it would appear that the only way you can get transparent AVIs is by exporting them uncompressed.
QT and flash seem to have the capabilty but Muvizu only accepts AVI
