Posts: 397 		1. Is there an easier way to sync a bazillion actions to electric guitar so it's accurate? otherwise I will be on this one til I'm old and the song is forgotten! I need the actions to be RIGHT, but damn! I know alot of Muvizuers have made some kick butt music vids...oh and is there an action for when they slide down the neck of the electric guitar and make that screechy sound?

and as long as im workin on this music video: 1 song, 1 set, 4 cameras, 4 videos of EACH guy performing entire song, and 4 angles for each of the 4 characters in each Awesome video, and now the question is:
2. I want to take all 4 videos and put them in ONE video, like a quad paneled (4 square panel) like a comic page layout or something. I use Muvizu, and Videopad(free), ...and If I have to I'll buy AVS, or something but I am not sure if what I want is even possible or plausable or what to use to do it?
If there is a better/easier way to do this please Help...

Posts: 471 		In my experience with trying to creating music videos there is no easy way to accurately time the character actions with the music. It takes a lot of time, patience and a fair amount of "fiddling" with things on the timeline. My current way of doing things is to just keep experimenting with all of the available character actions until I get something that I think looks "right".

I use AVS for most of my video editing. It's a fairly powerful editor and it's reasonably priced. It doesn't do what some of the more "high end" editors do but it suits my needs pretty well.

...and also realise that you'll have to use your editing skills to make it look right, rather than relying on Muvizu - you'll have to edit around the bits that don't work, speed up/slow down the actions, or just plain hide/obscure the hands at the animation stage so you can't see that they don't match exactly.

As for your 4 block view, you can do that with Premiere and Vegas and the like (did something similiar myself at the end of my Fistful Of Coders vid) but I don't know about AVS. You could try looking for some tutorials, to see if the full version can help you out.

Posts: 1786 		aye a great deal of things done are all about making people "think" something is happening. In areas where you want to "imply" something (which happens a lot believe me) make sure your cameras are pointed elsewhere. Our brains are strange for the most part implying actions if done right is just as powerful as actually doing it.

Animations is always time consuming even in muvizu its only less time comsuming i muvizu in many ways. I dont think they actually have hand movements in muvizu so make sure that your camera is zero'd in on something else if that makes any sense. I also find that using the head movement and eye movements helps a lot.

Posts: 397 		Thanks everybody, I think I got it now, had some trouble, but I have been lacking sleep and I was overwhelmed at the difficulty I had, and then today something just clicked!....and everything fell in line, but still workin on it. Now if only I could figure out why I'm getting inconsistant renders!...one time it renders fine, another time it renders all grainy, one time it won't even render right....and I changed nothing. Excpet now I am rendering this video out of muvizu 1289x720 hd FFDshow (normally I don't use that codec). The MSVFW codec didn't even work for me and Xvid I tried that one and I forget why it didn't fly this time, before I was rendering everything out in xvid or YUV or something and then in post converting it automatically to H624 which is amazing...was amazing...I love that codec...ok 4 words I never thought I'd say LOL!

Posts: 397 		actually I am now finding vids/info that say I can do that in VideoPad...which I use!Lucky me! so I am gonna try that when I get to that point soon and if that fails I'll post again lol
