Posts: 23 		Looking for a title creator, something fairly simple, easy to learn, and inexpensive or free. Not looking for bells and whistles. Thanks in advance.

Posts: 1988 		Windows Movie Maker has a nice, easy to use titler section. If you don't have it (in Windows 7) then you download it from Microsoft Live Essentials (which is free).

Posts: 23 		Thanks, this seems to be fine for my needs.
But I see that Movie Maker only saves as WMV and MP4, whereas VirtualDub (which I use) doesn't recognise MP4 ("Unknown or unsupported file type"). even with K-Lite Codec Pack installed.
Is there are workaround (e.g. to get VirtualDub to open MP4s)?
I've googled this and ended up downloading and installing MP4Cam2AVI, which had positive reviews but this won't even open MP4s.

videos without them being

When you go the Make Video bit, you are asked what kind of movie you want to render out. Select your format from the drop down list.

With the K-lite pack I can open all videos rendered in Muvizu directly into Sony Vegas 12.

ALthough if I plan to do post work, I'll render as a targa sequence and use that instead. Much better for post work in that format.
