wow! Thanks UrbanLamb! This is a very useful bit of information!!

am I correct in thinking that I'd need to split these into separate files for use as Muvizu sky and muvizu ground?

in order for that statement to be true, we'd need a very narrow definition of the term "artistic capabilities"!!

I think everyone on the forum would agree that you've supplied more than enough evidence to prove that you are indeed overflowing with artistic capabilities.

Stated differently: if it were illegal to have artistic talent, and you were in a court of law being tried on such charge... I'm afraid there's more than enough evidence to hang you.

So let's all hope that it's never illegal to be creative, because I'd hate to lose all my friends in one smack of the judge's gavel.

no just scale them down its designed to fit on a dome if you dont want ground just cut it off but there are a lot that have just sky on them you just need to browse around.

Posts: 1738 		I'm kind of the same way, Speedking... I have a lot of projects "in process", but I open them only when there's an idea to explore. After I see the results, the project gets saved and closed for who knows how long. Some of them require more skill than I have yet... some require more time than I have available at the moment... some require more enthusiasm than I can muster for that idea... some are waiting on a eureka moment that tells me how to proceed...

Maybe someday they'll all get finished...

But I like the examples you've posted... it looks like you have some previous experience with 3d modelling, which will be very helpful in this environment! I look forward to seeing more from you! I hope you'll participate in the current wave of contests!

The skydome is the sky bit of Muvizu's environment. If you go to edit-->edit environment, then click in to the section called sky, the image you put here goes on to Muvizu's sky. You may not have noticed before, but Muvizu is inside a giant 3D dome which is why it's called the skydome. (The sky in the dome)

This isn't important for backdrops though. You can see the aspect ratios for those here: http://muvizu.com/Wiki/wiki/101

Posts: 1988 		I know I said I wasn't going to post any more pictures of what I'm working on for Clayster's competition, but I love this image This is what Burroughs used to do, just go on a stage and sit and read to the audience in darkness. A little sepia tint to the camera output is the only effect added. So simple - this is why I love this program you know, its not for the tricks its for the looks you can achieve.

How did you get the character, and desk? Everything looks awesome. I spent all day on about 30 seconds of my animation. I used parts from a pre-existing scene so just had to add a few more things here and there to personalize it. It is absolutely nothing like yours. However I still need to do more, and this is just one part I worked on today. I hope the rest goes smoothly so I can have it finished for the competition.

Keep up the good work Ziggy.

I've started a project but I'm not sure if I can make it funny enough, so I may enter this, something else, or maybe I'll wait for the next competition.
